You can move stuff from your old device to a new one from a Google One backup. But to do that, you first need to back up your phone.

Step 1: Go to your phone settings, scroll down and tap on Google, and find and select Backup.

Step 2: If you’re backing up for the first time, you will have to sign in with Google One.

Step 3: Click on Back up now to begin back up immediately.

Step 4: You will have to input your pin if you have a screen lock set. Your data should begin backing up to your phone afterward.

Note that it might take a while to back up. So you might want to plug your phone in if it’s running low.

Step 3: Turn on Wi-Fi and connect to begin setup.

Step 4: After a few minutes, you should see a prompt on your screen telling you to “Copy apps and data” or “Use old phone”. You can choose to use a cable or use a Google-stored cloud backup. The cable option is a bit faster.
